What is the Summa V-Series?
The Summa V-Series is a line of digital flatbed cutting machines built for packaging, sign, display, and textile work. Manufactured by Valiani (since 1974) and distributed under the Summa brand, the V-Series offers four distinct models to match different production needs. These cutters are known for V-cutting capability (angled grooves that let rigid board fold cleanly) and packaging-focused workflows.
What are the different V-Series models?
Four models in the Summa V-Series lineup: Invicta (single-head, entry-level), Optima (double-head, prototyping to short runs, V-cutting on greyboard), Integra (double-head with 1kW router for rigid materials), and Omnia (automated sheet-fed for 24/7 production). Each is available in multiple bed sizes from compact to XL format.
What materials can V-Series cut?
V-Series cutters handle vinyl, cardboard, foam board, corrugated materials, greyboard (thick recycled cardboard used in luxury packaging), acrylic, aluminum composite (Dibond), MDF, PVC forex, and more, depending on the model. Cut materials up to 20mm thick with cutting tools, or route materials up to 13mm with the Integra. Our team can help you match tooling to your specific materials.
