Direct OEM replacement

The K303R is a confirmed drop-in replacement for the Esko BLD-SR6303 (also cataloged as G42441642 and 42441642), the Gerber / MCT SE6303R, and the Multicam 003612-MC6303 (also listed as SE72r). Same round stock form, same geometry, no holder modification needed. If you are running any of these part numbers today, the K303R goes in as a direct swap.

What is through cut cutting?

Through cutting means the blade cuts completely through all layers of the material, including any backing or liner. The cut piece separates fully from the sheet. This blade is built for through cut work. It is not a kiss cut blade.

Fine grain tungsten carbide construction

The K303R is ground from fine grain tungsten carbide. Carbide holds a sharper edge longer than tool steel, especially on abrasive media like polycarbonate and magnetic sheet. More cuts per shift before a swap is needed, and cleaner edges on demanding materials.

Common questions

How do I know this fits my machine?

If your machine is currently running Esko BLD-SR6303, Gerber / MCT SE6303R, or Multicam 003612-MC6303, the K303R is a direct replacement. Not sure? Contact us before you order. We will confirm fit before anything ships.

What materials does it cut?

The K303R handles self adhesive vinyl, polycarbonate, polyester, masking film, window prep vinyl, magnetic media, transfer paper, and 3M VHB. For thicker rigid materials, check with us to confirm this geometry is the right call for your application.

What does the round stock form mean?

Round stock means the blade shank is a cylinder rather than flat. It seats in a round bore holder and is secured by a set screw. This is the standard mounting form for drag knife holders on Esko, Kongsberg, Gerber / MCT, and Multicam cutting tables. If your current blade is round stock and your holder is configured for it, no holder change is needed.

How do I know when to replace it?

Watch for drag on curves, ragged edges, or material not releasing cleanly from the liner. If cut quality drops and adjusting parameters does not bring it back, the blade is ready to swap. Carbide blades typically outlast tool steel, but the right interval depends on your materials and run volume.

Getting the most from your cutting table

A fresh blade is a good start. But if you are going through blades faster than expected, or cut quality has become inconsistent, the blade is rarely the whole story. Cut depth, speed, pressure, and machine condition all affect how long a blade lasts and how clean it cuts.

It is worth asking: When was your machine last serviced? Are your parameters dialed in for this material? Is this the right blade geometry for what you are cutting? Could your operators use time with someone who runs these machines every day?

Flatbed Tools offers machine service, preventive maintenance, operator training, and workflow consulting. If something is not cutting right, reach out. We have probably seen it before.
