Summa / F Series Vantage / F1625

Summa F1625 Vantage Flatbed Cutting System

Summa logo Authorized Summa Dealer

Roll media and full 4x8 rigid sheets on one table.

The F1625 Vantage is the mid-size model in Summa's F Series Vantage line: a 63" x 98.4" working area that holds a full 4' x 8' sheet, 65" media width for roll work, and 8 vacuum zones in two rows so one half of the table can cut while the other loads. It runs the same platform as every Vantage: 1,000 mm/s (40 ips), acceleration to 1 G, three module positions, Fast+ and Core+ tangential modules, the 3.7 kW router, ultrasonic thickness sensing, and 3D blade calibration.

It's the model most shops that switch between flexible and rigid work during the day end up on. Flatbed Tools sells, installs, trains on, and services the F1625 Vantage, and stocks the blades, router bits, and conveyor belts it runs.

Who the F1625 Vantage Is For

  • Sign and display shops that run 4x8 sheets of foam PVC, ACM, and acrylic in the morning and vinyl or banner off the roll in the afternoon.
  • Packaging producers who crease, kiss-cut, and cut through on the same job, and route a prototype when the customer asks.
  • Print-and-cut floors where the table has to keep up with a 64" printer.
  • Anyone replacing an F1625 4X. Most tangential tools carry over; the modules don't. See the questions below.

If your largest sheet is 4x8 and your building has 3-phase power, this is usually the page to start from. If you need single-phase, look at the F1612 Vantage. If you run 5x10 boards, look at the F1832 Vantage.

What the F1625 Vantage Cuts

Flexible media, off the roll or in sheets

Adhesive vinyl for decals and kiss-cut work. Banner and soft signage across long panels with the conveyor. Reflective, protective, and magnetic sheeting, which the two-row vacuum holds flat.

Rigid sheets up to 4x8

Foam PVC, foamboard, and lightweight composites on the Core+ module. Corrugated board with the corrugated tool, no oscillation and no dust. Honeycomb board and reboard with the Power EOT to 16 mm. ACM, acrylic, and MDF with the 3.7 kW router. Aluminum to 3 mm with the oil mister.

Synthetic sheets

Polypropylene, polycarbonate, and PET for signage, sample work, and label backers.

Textiles

Woven polyester, canvas, and technical fabric with the rotary knife module.

F1625 Vantage Modules and Tools

The F1625 ships with the drag knife module, the camera module, and ADC on both edges. From there you configure it:

  • Fast+ module for vinyl, flexible media, and light board where the file has hundreds of tool lifts. 400 mm/s vertical, 2 G.
  • Core+ module for kiss-cutting, creasing, V-cut, rigid cutout, and oscillating tools. 44 lb of downforce.
  • 3.7 kW HF router at 60,000 RPM for ACM, acrylic, MDF, and aluminum. Or the 1.4 kW standard router for lighter routing work.
  • Rotary knife module for textiles.
  • Tools: kiss-cut, single and double edge cutout, heavy duty cutout to 15 mm, rigid material cutout to 8 mm, high precision cutout, corrugated to 8 mm, V-cut in five angles to 27 mm, bevel, perforating, creasing wheels, Power EOT to 16 mm, POT to 25 mm, POT-L to 42 mm.

F Series modules and tools, with materials and thickness limits

Three module positions means three modules mounted at once. A typical F1625 for a sign shop runs Fast+, Core+, and the HF router and never swaps modules during the day. We'll build the tooling list with you during the quote.

Media Handling and Workflow on the F1625

Standard on every F1625: conveyor system, pneumatic media clamps, clamp bar, roll support, vacuum table with automatic zone selection, camera with positioning laser, LED status bar.

Tandem workflow. Two rows of vacuum zones split the table front and rear. Cut on one half, load the other, and the table alternates. On short-run work this is where the F1625 pulls away from the F1612.

Operator Mode. Splits the table into a cutting zone and a safe loading zone with the conveyor moving finished parts forward.

Barcode workflow. OPOS barcodes identify the job and pull the cut file, read by the built-in camera or a hand scanner. Included with GoProduce.

Extension tables. Front, rear, or 50/50 for loading and offloading long sheets.

Optional: Heavy Duty Roll Support for rolls to 440 lb, basket for cut vinyl and waste, oil mister for aluminum.

Step down to the F1612 if you don't run 4x8 sheets or your building only has single-phase power. Step up to the F1832 if you run 5x10 boards, full ACM plates, or 72" print output. Compare all six F Series Vantage models

Summa F1625 Vantage Questions

Does the F1625 Vantage cut a full 4x8 sheet?

Yes. The working area is 63" x 98.4", so a 48" x 96" sheet fits with margin on both axes. Working area can shrink slightly depending on which tools are mounted.

What is the difference between the F1625 Vantage and the F1625 4X?

Same working area, new platform. The Vantage adds the Fast+ module with double the vertical speed, the ultrasonic thickness sensor, 3D Automatic Device Calibration, module and tool ID recognition, Ethernet motion control, and a 3.7 kW router in place of the 1.4 kW. Summa's benchmark on the same production files ran 45% to 90% faster depending on how many tool lifts the file had.

Can I use tools and modules from my F1625 4X?

Most tangential tools carry over. The 4X tangential modules run on the Vantage at 4X speeds. Router, drag, and rotary modules do not cross over, and the Fast+ module is Vantage-only. Call before you order; the carry-over list changes the quote.

Does the F1625 need 3-phase power?

Yes, 3-phase 208 V. The F1612 is the only Vantage model with a single-phase option. If you're in a single-phase building and need the 4x8 capacity, Summa recommends a rotary converter rather than a static one because of the vacuum pump load. We'll size it with you.

How much floor space does the F1625 take?

The table is 97.7" wide by 135.4" deep by 42.4" high. With the roll support arm mounted, plan for 108.9" of width and 93.4" of height. Add room at one end for loading and at the other for offloading, more if you add extension tables.

How does it ship?

One crate, 87.6" x 146.9" x 49.2", 3,090 lb gross. It needs a forklift and a dock or liftgate. We handle delivery, uncrating, placement, and commissioning.

What consumables does the F1625 use?

Summa-compatible knife blades for the tangential, drag, and oscillating tools, router bits for the standard and HF routers, and a conveyor belt cut to the F1625's length. All three are stocked in Racine, Wisconsin.
